Up in the air

Tuesday morning was an early start as I was photographing Richard and Sue's wedding on a hot air balloon!  We met at 5.30am and then convoyed over to rendezvous with the other balloonists to release the test balloon and establish the launch site.

By 6.30 we were at the launch site in Davenport and along with about 7 other balloons were inflated and ready to go.  Bob of bobs balloons (www.bobsballoons.com) conducted the nuptials and then they were off with their wedding party  for truly the ride of their lives!

Touchdown was about an hour later. before heading off for a celebratory breakfast at Bahama Bay resort (www.bahamabay.com).

Feelin' hot, hot, hot!

So it's summer in Florida and we are well and truly into the rainy season, with our afternoon storms now a daily occurrence.  But its no excuse not to get your camera out and keep shooting!  Head to a favorite spot for some sunrise shots and capture that magical golden glow early morning and late evening bring.

The afternoons bring the opportunity to capture dramatic cloud formations or lightning as the storms roll through, then as they clear in the early evening capture some nice reflective sidewalks or steamy settings as the sun sets.
